A head-on crash in Devon killed a 41-year-old mother of two when the man giving her a lift to the supermarket went on a high-speed pursuit of a bus.
Paul Snowdon began chasing the vehicle following an argument with one of its passengers at a bus stop.
Kelly Gliddon and her partner, Robert Harding, pleaded with Snowdon — who was allegedly sniffing butane gas during the journey — to slow down but he ignored them.
At Exeter Crown Court, Judge Peter Johnson handed the 38-year-old, from Great Torrington, a prison sentence of six years and eight months.
