Nelson Gate
The aim of this month’s photo shoot was to get some new bus stop photos for the Bus World Reviews and Classic Routes sections of the website. The first of these photos shows two bus shelters and a Route 3 City Red bus.

Civic Centre Road
The second photo in the shoot is opposite the Civic Centre. Back in the day, First Provincial and Solent Blue Line used to run a joint 26 service to Fareham from here.

Portland Terrace
Here we are outside WestQuay. Developers demolished the city’s bus station to make way for this shopping centre. The photo shows a Bluestar Route 9 service on its way to Hythe.

High Street
There are no bus stops on this now pedestrianised section of the High Street; there once was, though. First Provincial used to run its 72 service to Gosport and its 80 service to Fareham from here.

Hanover Buildings
There are two bus shelters in this photo. The one in the front is where the Route 1 Bluestar bus to Winchester departs from; the shelter you can just make out behind it is where, on Saturday afternoons only, the X15 Stagecoach service to Swindon, Wiltshire, would depart from, many moons ago.

Hanover Buildings
This is the lower section of Hanover Buildings. (You can just make out the Bluestar bus from Photo 05 in the distance.) Where the parked cars are, on the left-hand side of the photo, there was once a bus stop; Stagecoach in Hampshire’s X64 service to Guildford, Surrey, used to depart from there.

Above Bar Street
The penultimate photo in this shoot shows Above Bar Street. Most of the services that depart from here are local but the stop labelled ‘AC’ shows that you can also catch Bluestar’s Route 1 bus to Winchester.

Commercial Road
There are two bus shelters on this side of the road; the nearest one is for local services, the other is for services outside the city. The photo shows a Bluestar Route 4 bus about to depart for Romsey.
