Stapehill Abbey, Crafts, and Gardens

(Excellent)

At Stapehill on Wimborne Road is Stapehill Abbey, Crafts, and Gardens. Here you will find magnificent gardens with many rare plants, an orchid house, and a lake. There is also a craft centre with demonstrations, a countryside museum, and a Cistercian chapel. Woodland walks are available if you fancy a bit of a stroll.

ITINERARY NOTES

Bus Ticket
The ticket used on the day of travel was a Getaway.

Operator/Route No./Branding
The trading names of bus operators often change over time. In all instances, we use the trading name in effect at the time of travel. Similarly, route numbers and branding are also subject to change. Again, we use the route number and branding in effect at the time.

Route
When we list a town, city, etc. in FULL CAPITALS, this indicates that the full bus route starts/ends here. If we list a town, city, etc. with only an Initial Capital letter, this indicates that the full bus route starts/ends at some point before/after this.

Departure
The location of the bus stop (departure point) used at the start of the route stage.

Please Note
This is an extract of a journal written on the 6th February 1998. Details may therefore have changed by the time you read this. We advise you check relevant bus timetables, ticket availability, etc. before travelling.
