Bus station plans granted approval

The council has approved plans for a new bus station, apartment blocks, offices, and shop units in Cardiff, southern Wales.

The 14-bay bus station will stand on the former Marland House car park, which is next to the old bus station.

There will be a 22-storey tower of 305 flats in Wood Street, a nine-storey block in Marland Street, and an office block at Saunders Road.

The opening of the bus station — delayed from 2017 due to changes in the wider plans — is now likely to take place in 2021.
