‘Seat belts saved bus crash pupils’

A driver whose school bus overturned following a crash in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, last month has said seat belts saved all those on board from serious injury.

The bus came to rest on its roof next to a house after colliding with a car at a crossroads near Augher.

The pupils were on their way home from Sperrinview Special School in Dungannon at the time of the crash.

The bus driver, Adrian Cullen, along with the pupils’ escort, Sandra Falloon, received praise for their heroic response.
