An Uber-style bus service in Oxfordshire will end in June, with its operator blaming a lack of public sector and business support.
Oxford Bus Company launched PickMeUp — which has made 300,000 journeys — in June 2018 as part of a two-year pilot.
The bus firm said it had ‘exhausted all external funding’ trying to make the service work.
Oxfordshire County Council said the service was a ‘great idea’ but there was ‘no obvious way of making it more financially viable’.
