Monthly tests have found no traces of coronavirus — including new variants — in air samples and swabs of London’s buses and stations.
Researchers at Imperial College London, however, said this does not mean none is circulating or that commuters can let down their guard.
There has been extra cleaning throughout the pandemic to combat the spread of Covid-19 from breath and contaminated surfaces.
Passengers should, however, continue to wear face coverings when travelling on buses.
