Fisherman’s Walk
With the weather in our region set to be warm and sunny for the next few days, you might want to head out to one of our fave places.

Fisherman’s Walk, situated in the Southbourne area of Bournemouth, Dorset, was originally the route the fishermen took down to the coast. It’s now a pleasant tree-lined walk with a bandstand. There’s also a garden area with a pond and fountain.

There are plenty of seats along the walk to sit on and relax and, if the sun gets too hot, there’s a kiosk in which to buy an ice cream or two. There are also toilets if you need a comfort break.

The walk is just above the cliffs so, if you want to head to the beach, it’s not too far to stroll; alternatively, you could always take the Fisherman’s Walk Cliff Lift — opposite the snacks kiosk — to the beach below.

As the photo above shows, the stop is right outside the entrance to the walk, so there’s no problem getting the bus to and from the town centre.

However you decide to spend your week, have fun and remember — do take care. Bye for now!
