Here’s a stop in Lordshill for Bluestar and Unilink buses. While travel on Bluestar is no problem, Unilink has never run any services from here.

The bus on the left at this Lordshill stop is a hospital park-and-ride service run by Bluestar; the bus on the right is not in service.

You can use this leaning bus stop at North Baddesley to travel to Winchester; the route 46 Stagecoach in Hampshire service is the one to get you there.

Most buses in Lymington depart from Gosport Street. One of the stop signs shown is for the route 112 Beach Bus, which runs to Hythe via Lepe.

This stop on Brownhill Way serves Guernsey Close; despite what the sign says, though, this area of Southampton is Lordshill not Maybush.

Here are the stops (for Lymington and Hythe) at Lepe Country Park. Sadly, you can only get here by bus during the summer months; there aren’t any services at any other time.

This stop was in the Lansdowne Hill area of the city. The vintage bus was here to ferry visitors between Open Heritage Day attractions.

Situated on the Test Valley border is this Bakers Drove stop. There’s no point waiting here for a bus, though, as there are no commercial services still using it.

I do love a leaning bus stop. Connect2Wiltshire, a demand responsive transport network, serves this High Street one.

This bus stop at Lordshill was still in situ nine years after Southampton Citybus had ceased trading; it stayed there until October 2015.

The front garden of this house in Hillyfields has its own Stagecoach stop. You’ll have a long wait for a bus, though — there aren’t any down this quiet little lane.

A bus stop sign for Citybus is still here over five years after the operator ceased trading. This one is on the Maybush side of Romsey Road.

It’s more than five years since Citybus sold out to FirstGroup and ceased trading but one of its stop signs is still in situ. This one is on the Millbrook side of Romsey Road.

I took this photo in Hedge End. It depicts a People’s Provincial request stop, which is still here seven years after the operator had sold out to FirstGroup and ceased trading.
