Fracas killed 13 people in bus plunge

A scuffle between a driver and a passenger who had missed her stop caused a bus to plunge from a bridge into a river in southwestern China, killing at least 13 people.

Onboard CCTV (closed-circuit television) captured the fracas, which led to the vehicle veering into traffic and striking a car, before smashing through the rails of the bridge across the Yangtze River, southern Sichuan Province.

Early reports said the bus had swerved to avoid an oncoming vehicle but the CCTV footage shows a passenger hitting the driver who then hits her back.

Two people remain missing following the horror in Chongqing on Sunday 28th October.
