Middle Chine in Westbourne is one of the smaller chines. (A ‘chine’ is a deep, narrow ravine cut through soft rocks by a watercourse descending steeply to the sea.) It runs from West Cliff Road, at the junction of West Overcliff Drive, down to the beach.
