Route X3 to Salisbury

‘Enjoy the ride along the Avon Valley.’

This limited stop service ran between two bus stations — one in Poole, the other in Salisbury; it also served Bournemouth, Ringwood, and Fordingbridge.

NB This route is defunct. Although More, which used to trade as Wilts & Dorset, continues to operate the X3, it only runs between Bournemouth and Salisbury; however, we still regard this shortened route as a ‘classic’.

Did you know?
Between Salisbury and Ringwood, the X3 followed the valley of the River Avon, which was visible from the bus at various points along the journey. In Fordingbridge, the X3 crossed the river via a stone bridge with seven arches.
