The government is planning hundreds of miles of new bus lanes and price caps on tickets in England under a new bus strategy.
The plan, which will cost £3billion, will make buses across the country cheaper and easier to use, the Department for Transport (DfT) said.
The DfT is also promising services that are so frequent passengers will be able to ‘turn up and go’.
Both Labour and the unions, however, have criticised the strategy, citing falling passenger numbers and past cuts to services.
