Eighteen bus services axed

The Mayor of the West of England has revealed that 18 bus services in Bristol will cease running from October.

Official confirmation of which routes will be lost is likely to come next week, following a major network review.

Mayor Dan Norris, however, has already named the 11 commercial and 7 subsidised bus routes that will go.

Lib Dem councillor Sarah Warren said the ‘appalling cuts’ would ‘fall most heavily on disadvantaged and isolated communities’.
