‘A fast, limited stop, cross-county service’

This Hampshire – Dorset motorway express service ran between Southampton and Poole; it also served Ringwood and Bournemouth.

The X33 ran from the Castle Way stop in Sussex Place to the bus station in Poole. The operator later cut the Poole section of the route so that the service then ended at the Triangle in Bournemouth. A further cut, with the route now terminating at the Meeting House Lane stop in Ringwood, meant that the bus no longer served Dorset at all. The final cut then saw Wilts & Dorset axe the entire service. With the demise of the X33, along with the X34 and X35 (Southampton – Bournemouth) routes, Southampton has never again had a bus service linking it to Dorset.
