‘Fast and direct from market town to seaside’

This service ran between two Dorset towns — Blandford and Bournemouth; it also served Spetisbury, Sturminster Marshall, and Poole.

NB This route is defunct. Although More, which used to trade as Wilts & Dorset, continues to operate the X8, it only runs between Blandford and Poole; however, we still regard this shortened route as a ‘classic’.

Did you know?
The X8 was a fast, direct service from the West Street (Crown Hotel) bus stop in Blandford to The Square, Bournemouth. Whilst it still departs from the same stop, it now terminates at Stand L in Poole Bus Station.
