Man charged over bus stabbing

Police have charged a man after three passengers on a night bus in Greater London sustained knife injuries.

The attack left a 34-year-old man critically injured with stab wounds on a route N25 bus outside Mile End Station in Bow.

The assault, which took place just before 01 00 (1 a.m.) yesterday morning, also left two other men, aged 22 and 34, needing treatment for slash injuries.

The Metropolitan Police have charged 34-year-old Samuel Modeste, of Leytonstone, with three counts of causing GBH (grievous bodily harm).
