Driver shaken as bricks hit bus

08 Nov 2021

A Metrobus double-decker in Bristol had bricks thrown through one of its windows, leaving the driver shaken.

Vandals had targeted two buses — one on Friday 5th November and the other the following evening — both of which were on the m1 route.

Jimmy Sommerville, general manager for HCT [Hackney Community Transport] Group in the southwest, which runs Metrobus, said ‘luckily’ there were no injuries.

Police have yet to comment on the matter, which is the latest in a series of incidents targeting buses in the city.
