Route changes over attacks

An operator is withdrawing all evening services through a part of Plymouth, Devon, following attacks on its buses.

Plymouth Citybus said it is redirecting buses that pass through Granby Way, Devonport, after 17 00 (5 p.m.).

The bus firm said people throwing objects in the area had smashed windows on three of its vehicles in the last week.

Mark Collins, head of commercial and marketing, said: ‘The safety of our passengers is our priority.’
