Teenager struck by bus dies

An 18-year-old woman died after a bus struck her near the Gunwharf Quays shopping complex in Portsmouth, Hampshire.

Road closures remained in place for several hours following the crash, which occurred on St George’s Road at about 22 30 (10.30 p.m.) yesterday evening.

The teenager, from Gosport, Hampshire, died at the scene; police have informed her next of kin.

Hampshire Constabulary said officers were keen to speak to anyone who saw the incident, especially those with dash cam footage of it.
