Youths abuse couple on bus

A gang of youths subjected a couple on a bus in Gloucestershire to homophobic abuse, police said.

The teenagers targeted Daniel McDonnell and Giles Norton on a late-night bus in Cheltenham last week.

Police believe the couple, who had been to a drag event in the town, had received abuse because Mr McDonnell was dressed in drag.

PC Steph Lawrence, from Gloucestershire Police, said the force would not ‘tolerate hate in any of its forms’.
