Arriva drivers set to strike

Bus drivers who operate routes across south and central London are to stage a 48-hour strike in a dispute over pay.

Members of Unite working for Arriva at depots in the south of the capital will walk out on Monday 28th March.

The union said the firm initially offered workers a below-inflation pay deal of 1.5% which, along with an improved offer, the drivers rejected.

A spokeswoman for operator Arriva London said it was ‘disappointing’ the strike was going ahead.
