Bus driver strike suspended

18 Mar 2022

A union has suspended a planned 24-hour strike by more than 1,000 bus drivers in the capital, following a new pay offer.

The walkout on Monday 21st March would have disrupted services run by Arriva in central and south London.

The Unite union said after last-minute negotiations that it would suspend the industrial action so members could be balloted on the new deal.

Unite added, however, that if members decided to reject the deal, a 24-hour strike, planned for Monday 28th March, would still go ahead.
