This was one of the few services in our region run by two different operators; however, it was Solent Blue Line that made the route a true ‘classic’, as they used double-deckers. (Always much better when you can enjoy the view from the top deck of a bus.) First Provincial, who ran several bus services between Southampton and Fareham at the time, predominantly used single-deckers.
