Shoreburs Greenway

11 Oct 2002

Taking a stroll one autumn morning, we came across a friendly horse on Shoreburs Greenway; this is in the Botany Bay area of Southampton, Hampshire.

Travel Details
We made our way to the bus stops at Lordshill District Centre; this is in the Lordshill area of the city. From there we caught the number 8 bus, run by First Southampton, to our destination.

About the Destination
Shoreburs Greenway stretches for 5.6 km (3.5 mi) from Weston Shore (in the Weston area) to Bursledon Road (Thornhill). Greenways are ribbons of open space that follow stream valleys. They form a valuable break in built-up areas, enhance the landscape, and provide a green corridor for wildlife.

Purpose of Visit
We travelled here to provide a critique — yet to be included — for the Bus World Reviews section.
