Civic Centre Road Bus Stops

The stop sign nearest the camera shows that there were three operators running buses from here; namely, Bluestar, Xelabus, and First Southampton. The first two are still around; the third ceased all of its operations in 2023.

Up until the early Noughties, there were two bus services to the Hampshire town of Fareham from these stops. The first was the joint 26 service, run by Solent Blue Line (now Bluestar) and First Provincial (now First Solent); the second was the 78 service, run by First Provincial on its own; that was in addition to its 80 service, also to Fareham, which left from the High Street.
