Boys arrested over stolen bus

Following the theft of a bus in Southampton, Hampshire, police have arrested four teenage boys.

Thieves stole the empty Bluestar vehicle from Palmerston Road, in the Sussex Place area of the city, at about 16 55 (4.55 p.m.) yesterday afternoon.

Hampshire Constabulary said the thieves drove the bus a short distance before ‘it came to a stop’.

The force arrested three 15-year-old boys and a 13-year-old boy, all from Southampton, on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle; officers subsequently released all four of them but they remain under investigation.
