Activ8 branded ‘a nightmare’

Locals unable to get to work, school, or doctors’ appointments are branding a Wiltshire town’s bus service ‘a nightmare’.

The Activ8, which runs between Wiltshire and Hampshire, connects Tidworth with Salisbury and Andover, but has lately faced huge numbers of cancellations.

The British Army is among those criticising the service, which also serves the town’s military garrison.

The Activ8 is a joint service run by Salisbury Reds and Stagecoach South — the main operator affected — who says it does not have enough drivers.
