Large fire at bus station

Firefighters have contained a large fire, which had spread through a bus station in Slough, Berkshire.

The Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS) received the call to attend the blaze, which had spread across the whole of the bus station’s roof, at 01 52 (1.52 a.m.) this morning.

The cause of the fire is unknown, but Tim Readings, group manager for RBFRS, said the blaze is ‘mostly out’.

Mr Readings added that the fire was 20 × 40 m (66 × 131 ft) in scale, and six engines were at the scene to attend to the damage.
