Pay rise for bus workers

About 3,000 bus drivers and engineers in the capital have secured a 10.5% pay rise, Unite says.

The news comes after the union announced it was preparing to ballot members for industrial action.

The agreement with transport operator Go-Ahead will benefit workers on routes across south London.

Unite said the deal, which will make the drivers among the best paid in the city, followed intensive negotiations.
