Bus strikes begin in London

Thousands of commuters in the capital are facing disruption as drivers at Abellio begin 10 days of strike action over pay.

Almost 1,000 Unite union members at bus garages including Battersea, Hayes, Twickenham, and Walworth are taking part in the strikes.

The industrial action, which involves drivers in south and west London, affects about 60 bus routes.

Many routes have reduced services or no services at all and buses that are running are much busier than normal.
