Route 51 to Cheltenham
01 May 2025
‘Connecting Wiltshire and Gloucestershire’
This Wiltshire – Gloucestershire service runs between two towns — Swindon and Cheltenham; it also serves Cricklade, South Cerney, North Cerney, and Cirencester.
Did you know?
It was back in 2012 that Bus World made its one and only trip (to date) on the route 51 service. Run by Stagecoach in Swindon, as it was then trading, the 51 went from the bus station in Swindon to the Market Place stop in Cirencester. From there, the driver would change the bus’s route number to 151 and continue onwards to Royal Well Bus Station in Cheltenham. These days, the route number stays at 51 throughout the entire journey and the service no longer terminates at the bus station; instead, it ends at the nearby Promenade.
