Upton Crescent Bus Shelter
01 Mar 2026
We believe this request stop, in the Hampshire hamlet of Upton, was no longer in use at the time of this photo. Hampshire Bus, which later became part of Stagecoach South, used to be the local operator here.

The photo, by Lee Wilkins, dates from 06 May 2008; it shows the Upton Crescent bus shelter. (Upton Crescent, by the way, leads out to Romsey Road, which is actually the road on which the bus stop is situated.)
•
By 2014, the stop was once more in use; it was now the starting point for the PS11 service, operated by Stagecoach in Hampshire. This bus was available to all, but was primarily for students attending Peter Symonds College in Winchester. The service, however, lasted for just a short while; it was gone by 2015.
•
Whilst the PS11 was still serving this stop, Xelabus had begun running a free ASDA Totton Shopper bus from here. This continued until the supermarket pulled the funding for the service in 2018. Although subsequently renumbered college services may still have stopped here, to the best of our knowledge, this was the last time that a bus began and/or ended its service at this stop.
