City to get electric buses
01 Feb 2023
Oxford’s first electric buses — set to form a fleet of 159 — will begin appearing in the Oxfordshire city from September.
The fleet will serve an area from Kidlington to the north, Sandford-on-Thames to the south, Wheatley to the east, and Cumnor to the west of the city.

Oxford Bus Company is one of the firms involved in the scheme
Eight of the double-decker buses will be open-topped and run on Oxford’s sightseeing tour route.
The government, the council, and local bus firms are paying for the scheme, which will cost £82.5 million.
