Defunct Stagecoach Stop

The photo, by Lee Wilkins, dates from 10 Oct 2023; it shows a bus stop, no longer in use, on Rownhams Lane. We believe it was the now defunct route 46 (Winchester – Southampton) bus — run by Stagecoach in Hampshire — that used to serve this stop.

There is a second Stagecoach stop — barely visible in the photo — on the opposite side of the road; this was for the return journey to Winchester.

Although Rownhams is in the post town of Southampton, geographically it is not actually in the Hampshire city itself; it is a village within the Test Valley region.
