The RP1 minibus service operated to and from all the Richmond Park car parks; in addition to Ladderstile Gate, it also served Richmond Gate, Pembroke Lodge, and Isabella Plantation.

The bus ran on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays; it started and ended at the barrier in Danebury Avenue on the Roehampton Estate.

Private donations to the Royal Parks funded the service.
